Palm Springs

About a month ago we booked it to Palm Springs for a little R&R with the Skousen's and the Runia's. We're super lucky that Joey's in-laws will let us enjoy their beautiful place at the La Quinta Resort and Spa. Our Mazda looks a little out of place next to all the Bentley's and Mercede's but hey we're just keeping it real. Highlights included fun dinners, tennis, hours by the pool, piña coladas, and our favorite "The Adult Pool Day Club" with DJ Pat Rock spinning the best of the best all weekend long! Love our memories with our friends on our Palm Springs trips!

Texas 2012

Aaron had a week off in July so we headed to good ol Austin, Texas to visit my Nanny and Bompa and cousins.  It was Aarons first time meeting my Nanny and Bompa which is still crazy to me that it took me that long to get Aaron down to Austin.  It turned out to be a perfect week.  We enjoyed lots of Texas BBQ, lot's of swimming with my little cousins, a visit to Krause Springs which looks straight out of a fairytale, enjoyed the fireworks on the fourth of July, donuts from the famous round rock donuts and lot's of chit chat and story telling with my Nanny and Bompa.  I love spending time with my Nanny and Bompa and I still cry like a baby when I have to say goodbye to them. Hopefully it won't be too long before we go back.

Spa Night

A few months ago I hosted a homemade spa night at my house and it was a blast.  We had a few homemade face masks, hand scrubs, and lots of supplies for nails.  We also had little finger foods and enjoyed the night pampering ourselves as much as our cute little med school budgets could let us. I got the recipes for the face masks via Pinterest and I actually loved all of them.

Yoga Fun

I've had the opportunity to experience some really fun yoga classes with my friend Heidi.  Both classes have been so different and so phenomenal.  I feel like I have really been falling in love with Arizona lately and taking advantage of things to do here.  The first yoga class was a "Yoga Rave" and it was held at a warehouse in downtown Phoenix.  It was a two hour class with glow sticks, 3 teachers, 2 DJ's, and about 500 yogis.  I really just had the biggest smile on my face the whole time, the music was great, our view was of Chase stadium (Where the Diamondbacks play) and there was the most amazing vibe.  Then we went to an outdoor yoga class held at the W in Scottsdale on their pool deck.  There were also around 500 yogis but the music was much  more calm and it was at sunset with a perfect breeze and 2 amazing instructors.  The atmosphere was perfection.  Both classes were free- extra bonus!- and sponsored by Lulu Lemon
